This fantastic construction is located in Atlantic Beach, a city of small town charm and unique history in the state of Florida, USA. It has long beaches with white sand and pure, transparent water, and with an enviable weather for most of the year. It was designed by the renowned Jacksonville for himself and his family in 1973.
The geometric structure covers an area of 1,893 square feet and is characterized by two triangular prisms with varying dimensions. The largest looks like a pyramid, while the smaller one is inclined, leaning toward the nearby beach.
In its interior we can appreciate the use of wood as a main material. The high ceilings and the walls have been clad in this material, in so doing keeping up the beachy and relaxed atmosphere in the interior.
The stairs go up through the center of the space, creating a visual division between the living room and the dining room.
In the following levels, we find the bedrooms. One level up is the Master Bedroom, sitting atop the living room, as well as the architect’s study – a space full of light thanks to the wide windows. The other two bedrooms can be found one more level up.
