Beautiful Wooden Villa in Sweden with Luminous Interiors
By Magaly • Apr 28, 2017
This single-family villa is located on the eastern coast of Sweden, a place historically renowned for its tourist appeal and party status, but which is currently uninhabited. Having been renovated by the architectural firm in 2014, it now has approximately 1,000 square feet of space.
It has been completely constructed using wood, from its walls to its ceiling. Meanwhile, its design structure was inspired by the typology of the traditional pitched-roof barn.
Its beautiful gardens, which are meticulously cared for, accentuate the perfection of this simple building. In its interior, we find a similarly simple décor in which everything is carefully organized and placed.
Composed of five modules connected amongst themselves, each section has its own unique set of spaces and characteristics. The simple structure allows its furniture and décor to stand out; it is truly a marvelous experience to witness the seamless integration of the three primary spaces: the living room, dining room, and kitchen.
The glass walls that connect with the exterior allow the natural light from the surrounding environment to flow in, bathing the interior with a healthy brightness.
The bathroom is made completely of beautifully veined white marble, giving it a wonderfully elegant feel.
