Designed by Johannesburg-based architect Georg van Gass of and landscaped by , the U-shaped residence sits on 266 acres at the door-step of the breathtaking mountains and valleys of Langeberg Mountains.


Desert Nomad House in Arizona by Rick Joy Architects

Designed by architect and built in 2005, the sits on nearly five acres of pristine desert in Arizona at the base of the Tucson Mountains and Saguaro National Monument.

The luxury house is composed of three seperate rusted steel and glass cubes, each with a unique and dynamic view of the Soronan desert.


Anantara Kihavah Villas in Maldives by Anantara Resorts

Anantara Resorts has opened the last February. Located on Kihavah Huravalhi in the Maldives, the resort is just 35 minutes by seaplane from Male International Airport.

The Anantara Kihavah features 74 one-bedroom villas and 4 two-bedroom residences ranging from 2,800 to 9,250 square feet, designed in timber and marble, with infinity-edge pools, expansive wooden sun decks, outdoor rain showers, and oversized bathtubs for two.

Spanish architectural firm started the Wave house project in 2006 and completed it in 2009.

This incredible concrete house is located at Punta Aguila in Casa de Campo – La Romana in Dominican Republic and was built as a year-round vacation compound where sun, sand and surf beckon.

Curling roofs and walls contain separate sleeping and living areas, clad in local coralline stone.

The Stables, a Contemporary Self Catering Villa in Ireland

Dublin based ODOS Architects have completed the restoration and extension of , a 18th Century farmhouse and stable complex in Ballymahon, Longford county, Ireland.

The 4,840 square foot self catering villa is composed of two buildings: the country house known as the Gold House, which includes the addition, and the stables, known as The Other Side.


Minimalist Juvet Landscape Hotel in Norway

Designed by Norwegian architects , the award-winning Juvet Landscape Hotel is located a short walk from Gudbrandsjuvet gorge in Burtigard, Norway.

The hotel was erected in a cooperative venture formed by the National Tourist Routes and Knut Slinning, the owner.

According to the architects, each of its seven detached guest rooms is a “small independent house with one, or sometimes two glass walls.

Saffire takes its inspiration from the colors of the peninsula – the pink granite of the Hazards Mountains, the white sandy beaches, sapphire-blue waters and the grey-green of the native bushland.


Alemanys 5 El Badiu Apartment by Anna Noguera

Spanish architect has completed the renovation of a 16th century building in Girona, Spain that “integrates old and new, where sober and clean lines look for the enjoyment of essential elements such as space, light, shadow, fire, stone, water or silence.”

El Badiu (The Veranda) is a 180 m2 duplex apartment on the upper two floors of Alemanys 5 equipped with a master suite and two children suites, kitchen-dining room, great living room with fireplace and a veranda terrace facing south with views of the old quarter.

El Badiu for 2 to 6 people can be from €140 to €200 per night for 2 people, depending on the season.
