The Edelman team and strived to design this new office to create the best possible user experience. To achieve this, they invested a lot of time, starting at the beginning of the project, in trying to understand the needs, desires, and problems of the Edelman team.
A key objective was to show the beautiful interiors of the office to the people passing by. The office occupies a prime location in the lobby of the main building of twofour54, a district dedicated to media and communications companies in Abu Dhabi.
Edelman’s senior management wanted the staff from other media companies to pass by the front and think, “I want to work there,” and their potential clients to think, “I want to work with these people.”
This is why these modern offices were inspired by the idea of the small neighborhoods that form the big cities, like Soho, Wall Street, and the Upper West Side of New York. Each neighborhood has its own unique personality, people, and purpose, but all are united by a common thread.
This vision was incorporated in the design, bringing the idea to the office spaces.
At one side was created what is called “The Festival Space,” which has a kind of amphitheater and cafeteria style seating, where people come to eat, chat, and relax. At the opposite side is the main workspace, designed for people who engage in deep and focused work. And in the middle, there are a number of common spaces, such as the main meeting room called “City Loft,” because of its relaxed, urban, and sophisticated atmosphere.
